How to calculate a Mage DPS

The mage is a class of damage - deal with "World of Warcraft". A class varied, the mage excels in the casting of spells to destroy his enemies. Download the addon "Recount" (see resources). Navigate to the folder containing the file "Recount.zip", it right click and select "extract...". "Choose the"addons"folder in the directory"world of warcraft"as the destination.

Launch client "world of warcraft" and click on the "addons" button in the lower left corner of the character selection screen. Place a check mark next to the "Counting" list, click "OK" and load a mage character in the game.

Type "/ tell" in the chat interface and click the right arrow or left on the interface box that appears up to the top bar reads "Damage." Click on the "x" button to reset all data. Find a dummy target of "Boss level?" in a city and start casting lots. Monitor the DPS reported by the addon in parentheses, then reset necessary.

Always ensure that you have the latest version of "Counting" by checking your addons to the character selection screen. If it says "Obsolete", you will need to update the addon by downloading again.

DPS is not the sole judge of the skill of the mage. Damages deal, a mage should also be quick to respond to its surroundings and should make ample use spell utility such as "counterspell" and "Polymorph."
